Day 7 Results

Day 7. I didn't manage to take many photos and videos today. The weather turned on us and it was 5° and raining all day. Great for the dogs, not so good for us that were spectating. We watched some of the elite scooters and the elite canicross mass starts. The women's category had nearly 70 competitors starting at the same time which made for quite the spectacle!!

Day 6

Day 6! Where has the week gone! It wasn't Gemma's day today as she got held up on course by another competitor. Wolfe was running brilliantly again so it was a real shame. An official protest was put in and upheld but unfortunately the times were already affected. I suppose that's sport, some days go well, others, not so much. We spent the rest of the day watching the racing. The bikes are so fast and the canicross mass starts are quite a thing to watch! Lovely to see all the countries out supporting each other in a fabulous atmosphere!

Day 5

Day 5. First day of racing!! Gemma was out at 7.59 so we had an early start! I warmed Wolfe up while Gemma got ready and I actually jogged!! Something I've not done in quite a while! Wolfe was an absolute legend and Gemma came in saying it was the best he had ever raced! We cooled him off between us before heading out to help and watch others.

Day 4. Mostly a chill day mooching about the site. Gemma made friends with a beaver , we bought some merchandise and had a cheeky Czech cider in the sunshine. All athletes received a pretty cool goody bag full of doggy bits and then the evening involved the parade of nations and opening ceremony. Very cool seeing all the competitors out and all the flags flying!!

Day 3. Freezing early morning walk around the grounds then onto Wolfe's vet check. All was good and he was signed off fit to race Gemma just about made her training run round the course after we got to the start and realized her ticket was still in the caravan with only 5 minutes to go until the course shut After all the excitement an afternoon nap was then on the cards!

Day 2

Day 2. Started with a beautiful sunrise over the motorway . Hit the road at 7am, covered another 400 + miles and arrived around 4.45. We've discovered that German roads are good but their fuel is expensive, we have no idea how to speak any Czech which can cause a lot of confusion in service stations and Czech roadworks appear VERY suddenly!!! All set up now and have enjoyed dinner and a well earned glass of wine

Day 1

Day 1 of our epic drive across Europe. (Re uploaded as it was messing about last night) Roughly 450 miles covered, many service stations sampled and the joy of 'sleeping' next to a busy motorway 😩🤣🫩 The dogs have been amazing ❤️🐶

ICF World Championship Sponsorship

I'm pretty sure that a sponsorship arrangement is meant to allow me to showcase my work, demonstrating the benefits of treatment for a dog involved in International sport and hopefully encourage others to seek treatment for their animals....... Or it would if Gemma and I ever actually remembered to take photos when I treat her pack!!!
