We are back!! Arrived home late Tuesday evening then straight back to a packed diary first thing Wednesday morning!!
I just wanted to say a huge thank you to Gemma Fronda for the invitation and opportunity to join her, Wolfe and the rest of the British team at the world championships. It was such a privilege and couldn't have come at a better time, as personally, I really needed the break.
ICF rules state that the dogs aren't allowed to receive any treatment during race days but specific warm up/cool downs were fine. So... I ensured that Wolfe received the most thorough warm ups and cool downs, which enhanced his recovery, reduced his injury risk and meant he came in from day 2's race looking stronger than ever this also meant Gemma could concentrate on preparing herself while I sorted Wolfe. Team work makes the dream work!!
Other than this small amount of work I just had a great time, met some amazing people and dogs, and learnt loads about the world of Canicross, Scooter and Bike jour, all which I hope will be useful for future exercise, rehab and treatment plans
